My baregrandkitten is now 9 months old. You may remember that when he was
new, we rented a place near him for the winter and he spent a lot of time
with us as Cinder and Rosie were teaching him the ways of cats.
Well, we have been back in Texas for a couple of months. The other day, our
daughter sent us a clip where she says, "Give me love," and, in a good
imitation of Rosie, the baby head butts her and rubs his head under her
chin.

Thats sooo cute.
The Yowlet often goes around being a doggy. He's on all fours, makes little
yappy sounds and pants like a dog. And perhaps it is the mother in me, but I
don't mind one bit that he licks me on the nose as a 'doggy kiss'.
I always knew that parents loved their kids. What no-one told me is that you
also fall in love with them. Now that The Yowlet is three, can communicate
(well, mostly) andhis personality is coming out, I have become even more
fond and deeply proud of him. He's a non-stop ball of energetic chaos, but
there's a really good, compassionate kind heart under there, a heart that is
concerned with the welfare of the people around him, including the sort of
people who have four legs and fur. Bless him.

That comes as no surprise at all to people here. :-) Are there any recent
pictures of Cary online?

Yup, there is. He is the 47th picture in the "Hoomin" folder in the
Catslaves photo album. The hat is surgically attached, he won't leave home
without it. It has become his security item, which is less embarassing than
dragging around a 'blankie' everywhere, but doesn't make photographing his
face very easy. Most of the photos I have of him at the moment are just a
hat on legs, this is one of the rare ones where he was smiling, you could
see his eyes, and he was still enough to get a good snap :-)

That sounds funny. Now I've got to go take a look - a hat on legs? LOL!

Ahh, yes, the doggie kisses. I hadn't thought about those for a long time.
I'm pleased that Rosie and Cinder were able to make an impression on the
bare grandkitten. This boy has a dog, so I imagine when he gets a little
older, he'll add doggie kisses to his head rub repertoire.
