One of my two very best friends, Diane, is scheduled for surgery on June
5th.  She has Multiple Sclerosis, having been diagnosed at the very young
age of 32.  She's 5 years younger than I am (I'll be 47 in 2 months) and is
now permanently in a wheelchair.

She moved back to Ohio years ago to be closer to her family as she couldn't
get along on her own here in Tennessee anymore.  She was married when she
was diagnosed; once she started having minor motor issues he decided it was
all too much trouble.  Spent most of his time on the golf course rather than
making sure she was okay at home.  D***head!!  He had quit a perfectly good
job in IT at FedEX.  She also worked there and gets a nice disability check
and some Social Security benefits.  So she divorced him and pretty much left
him with his cojones hanging in the wind!  Good for her!

She has since remarried a wonderful man who actually loves her and takes
care of her.  They are picking up a brindle female Boston Terrier pup today.
They went to a reputable breeder a few weeks ago and she played with the
pups and picked out the one that gravitated towards her the most :)  They've
been back to visit since and each time the pup really seemed to be saying
"Pick Me! Pick Me!"  Smart puppy :)  She's excited!

Anyway, she will be getting the dead bone capped in her left humerus (the
long bone extending from shoulder to elbow); The doctor says she should
experience at least a 60% improvement.  Right now she's in terrible pain and
told me at least 40% improvement would keep her from swearing so much. LOL

Purrs that the surgery is successful and the recuperation time is not too
long would be appreciated.

Purrs for Diane.
In case she doesn't know - there's a proven connection between MS and
aspartame. Not saying it caused her case but it will aggravate the situation
if she uses it. See "Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World". I just saw it a few
days ago. I knew some of the facts but I was really shocked to learn the
full story.

Lots of purrs for your friend Diane. I also have a friend named Diane
who has MS. And she
lives in Antioch, TN. Kind of coincidence.
Sounds like they are both tough ladies. MS makes you that way, I
think. It's a tough
disease to cope with. My friend is not in a wheelchair, but has to use
a power scooter
most of the time.

Quite a coincidence!  She's a tough lady, for sure.  She may eventually get
a power scooter.  I remember when she first started having real problems
walking (mostly balance issues) before she moved away.  She needed a cane -
the geriatric type with the 4 feet at the bottom.  She said she refused to
look like a little old lady when she wasn't even 36!  So she asked a mutual
friend from the neighborhood bar to paint that cane.  It had a sort of
hooked handle at the top, so he painted it to look like a Toucan!  It was
too funny!

I'll pass along the purrs (but I'll have to explain the concept, first!)

Purrs on the way.  Is she still in Ohio?  If so, whereabouts?

Rumbling purrs and other good vibrations are on the way for your friend to
have a successful surgery and rapid recovery.  On a different topic, good
luck house breaking that little puppy.  I can say I've never met a Boston
terrier I didn't like.

Purrs on the way for Diane to get at *least* 60% improvement from the
surgery and for a speedy recovery.

Let's not honor this individual by calling him D**K anything. That, my
friends, is part of a Man.

Rather let's call him a foreskin (That's the bit we cut off, and throw
away.)
