I posted not long ago about the cat that was visiting our home.   We
named him Caesar because he seemed to be courting our Cleopatra
through the window.  Marc Antony just seemed too long a moniker for
him.  At first he visited once a week or so, then it was every time
the weather was bad he'd be on the carport or under the deck, then it
became every day.  We noticed he was losing weight, so we fed him.
Unfortunately we couldn't keep him because he kept trying to steal the
neighbor's cats food, we couldn't have another indoor cat due to the
current population, and could not afford the cost to neuter him so he
could stay outside.

More friendly than any cat I've ever known, he deserves a home where
he will be the center of attention.  Although it pained us to do it,
we took him to the Humane Society and this is his web site.  Isn't he
a beauty!

He's gorgeous.  I have a soft spot for black/white tuxedoes because of KFC.
Being pedantic here, what a pity they couldn't spell his name properly.
I hope Caeser gets a forever home very soon.

All things considered, it could have been misspelled Seeser, Seezer,
Seezer, or Seazer.

We get cat visitors all the time, I used to discourage it cos of fiv
and other nasties, but they all seem fine well behaved kitties..

We gave them all names:

shitface (has brown marking on his face)
Baby 2 (looks like one of ours, called baby)
Fewix (a childish play on felix)
Ed (hes a bit crazy and chatters all the time)
Fluffy (He's really naughty, a bit of a sex pest)
Rex (is a dapper old man who comes round to charm the lady cats, he and
our fluffy female play gone with the wind)

We tend to over anthropomorphize a bit, but how can we not with such
characters?

What a face! He looks a real character

Should have no problem selecting his new slave...if I lived near there
(alas I am in the UK) I'd certainly be asking the Furballs if they
wanted a younger brother

Just as an aside Deb I gotta say your quilts are amazing! Are they
hard to do?

Thank you!

Not really hard.  A little math (erm..geometry) involved, but I don't
really do the math.  Instead of math I just draw on graph paper, count
squares and add seam allowances.  In spite of all the new books
claiming everything has to be cut perfect and sewn perfect, I can
easily design and sew my own when I have the time.  I made the Pebbles
and Bam Bam blocks in one day, and put them together on another day,
machine quilted it on a third day, and then did the binding over a two
day period.  It was easy, all squares and rectangles.

I've got a baby quilt that I need to quilt and bind for a friend that
has my first bias cuts.  The top is one big block (36" square) with 8
pieces to it.  Fast to make, simple design, bright colored novelty
prints, and graphic looking because of the scale.

The applique blocks are easiest and most fun.  Lots of room for error
that can later be called artistic license too.

By the way, quilters call pets Quilt Inspectors, and felines seem to
be the most numerous species of QIs.

Oh, yes, Polonca, our quilt inspectors take their work very seriously.
Boots is my #1 QI.
Yoda used to be, but he seems to be retiring.
