Oooops!  I was snuggled on the sofa with Persia next to me and I fell asleep
and was dreaming.  I thwacked her on the head!  Oh, no, poor baby :(  She
squeaked and I woke up.  I was very apologetic and she has forgiven me but I
felt so bad about it.  I didn't mean to hit her on the head!  I love my grey
girl; she's so very soft, blue-grey girl and such pretty green/gold eyes.

I know the feeling.

My 17 year old Kitty is the oly one that sleeps with me an I could not
tell you how often I roll on her or hit her when changing positions.

She used to get of the bed and go in her bed in the closet.  Now she
just meows and look at me (When I wake up) like to ask "What was that
for??"

Ah, my Siamese were very forgiving but when they had a litter and they
were old enough to get on the bed, I'd wake up all stiff from being
afraid to rollover on them.  Max always slept under the covers and never
complained, I dunno from being forgiven or just not squashing him.  Tao,
my grouchy cat, surprises me because I roll over on him all the time and
he never complains, doesn't even wake up half th etime.  Norm

That's not as bad as what I did to Snoopy about 14 years ago, I turned over
half asleep and banged her head against the wall with my elbow. It must have
hurt her because it was painful for me, I was sick with worry that I had
done real damage. It's amazing how quickly she forgave me and how soon she
started sleeping next to me again. I still feel guilty every time I think of
it even though it was an accident.

My guys are amazingly forgiving.  It makes me feel all the worse when
I commit a faux-pas like stepping on a tail.  I think the only thing
that evokes the FLOD (feline look of death) from Stinky is a trip to
the vet, and he pretty much forgets about that immediately, too.

Awwwwww.  I'm sure she didn't blame you, or at least not for long.  They
are amazing when it comes to bouncing back from little accidental hurts.
I bapped Trill the other day with my cane, right in the jaw.  Ouch!
He shook his head, looked at me a minute, and then wanted petted.  I'm
glad they are so good about suffering indignities.

This reminds me of when Ketzl first arrived here. Well, not exactly at first,
as he never slept on the bed in the very first days. After a while, however,
he relented and condescended to sleep at the foot of my bed, by my ankle.
(Now, heck, he's all over the place, and I wake up all curled in a ball at
the edge of the bed, ever-fearful of disturbing his sleep. Not like he hasn't
slept all day anyway.)

Anyway, he arrived in relative warm weather, so I slept mostly on top of the
bed, not under cover. A few times I discovered, while showering, several
"interesting" punctures on my calf or calves and worried that I might have a
bug problem. Come to find out, it was Ketzl, "objecting" to my kicking him
during the night. (I've since learned to STAY PUT! so as not to repeat this.)
Like I said, he now feels very comfortable about nestling between my body and
my arm (always the right one) and I've learned to adjust.

It's so hard being a perfect slave!
