I have a pair of small kookaburra and koala toys on the top of our
bookshelf to remind me of Australia... Tessie's not supposed to be up
there but she's fascinated by them and I'm always walking out to the
livingroom to find one or both of them lying on the floor at the base
of the bookshelf becuase she's climbed on up there and knocked them
down. One day I walked in the front door to find the kookaburra right
in the doorway, and once she deposited it on our bed! But now she's
outdone herself... yesterday I realised that both toys were gone and I
hadn't seen them for a few days - the koala turned up under the side
table right next to the bookshelf, so it's back in its place... but
the kookaburra has entirely disappeared! It's not under or behind the
furniture or in the closet where she hides or in any of the cat
carriers... maybe she ATE it?!
I'm cross... I want my cute kookaburra back :(

I used to know an Australian girl who looked JUST like a kookaburra.
She was round, with piercing eyes and a long, pointy beak. ;)
