Just saw this on rec.humor.funny:

In response to the current problems with contaminated cat food,
Mother Nature, Inc., would like to remind you of her traditional
line of 100% all-natural cat foods.  No pouches, no bags, no cans.
No mysterious "meat byproducts."  No harmful chemicals.  And they
may be bought at little or no cost.  Each meal comes complete with
its own live-action play toy, guaranteed to amuse any cat for hours.
Available in three time-tested flavors: mouse, sparrow and cricket.

lol! The girls would like to remind you of the fourth and most
exciting flavour - bug! Any bug that finds its way into our apartment
doesn't last long... Tessie pounces it and chases it and when she
wearies of the game, Silver eats it!

I know this is a joke BUT keep in mind that it is not a good idea for
cats to eat mice.  People put out de-con and other mouse poisons (I do
in my storage shed) and if a cat eats a mouse that has eaten poison this
could poison the cat.

You're right about that. It's really unfortunate. If it were safer to let
cats outside, we could let them keep a lid on the rodent population,
rather than relying on poison.

I know someone who wasn't allowed to adopt a cat from a shelter because
she rented an apartment in the city, and wasn't able to say for certain
whether there were rodents in her building and whether anyone was poisoning
them if there were. Even if she were to keep her cat inside her apartment,
so the cat wouldn't be able to get at the rat poison directly, a poisoned
rat or mouse could get into the apartment where the cat could eat it. And
if you're living in a large apartment building, you can't always be sure
what your neighbors are doing.

There's reasonable caution... and then there's downright paranoia!
What a stupid reason to not let someone adopt.

And that could poison all the customers of the oriental
restaurant, too.

You can't shout down a troll.
 You have to starve them.

And we should forget such regional delicacies as lizard, rabbit, and
pretty much anything else that moves.

Actually, I'm rather nervous about my cats messing rodents and bugs,
since they might be carrying pesticides.

Keep cats safe from pesticides -- buy and use laser pointers.

Great exercise, ammusement, and no cholesterol or trans fats.

They forgot lizard.  Sonya has taken up bringing in lizards
during the day, but only when Rob's CNA, Marcella, is here.
Marcella is totally terrified of snakes, lizards, and bugs.
Sonya apparently thinks she has to cure Marcella of her phobias.
