Thanks for your housing purrs, everybody. We closed on the house
yesterday. Had electricity and gas turned on this morning, water was
already on. We'll probably move enough of our stuff tonight to let us (and
the kitties) live there, then over the weekend I'll rent a UHaul to get
everything else moved. DSL gets turned on there some time Friday.

Finally - room enough for some furniture, so we won't have to sleep on the
floor any more. We'll have a bathroom with a shower large enough that I
don't have to suck in my gut just to fit in. And after I spend a couple
hours dealing with some largish gaps under the back fence, the kitties
will have a yard again. In the yard they've got a kids backyard gym and a
bird feeder, and the yard is often visited by birds, squirrels, and an
occasional bunny.

We'll also be able to park both vehicles in the garage (the current place
doesn't have a garage, and the place in Highland was so small that our
garage was full of boxes), and I'll have a workbench down in the basement
(a nice kitty-safe basement - the folks who lived there before us kept
their kitty's litter box in the basement).

I'm hoping to get some photos of the kitties in their new house online in
the next week or so.

That's wonderful Dan.  You should take Harriet with you on the U-Haul
truck to remember the best of times and the worst of times. :)

I'm so happy for you, Dan.   Do you both have jobs there now, too?
