We were under Tornado watch/warning most of yesterday, though I had no idea at the time. I kept seeing that places north of us were being told to hunker down, but then again... I was going to let Speedy, the d-thing out into the back yard to do his thing, when one of the kids noticed that we had wind damage. The umbrella for my glass topped patio table was gone, and the glass top was busted up into so many pieces it wasn't funny. The Speedster is using the front yard and a lead for his potty works and I've already started nagging the mafia to clean up the broken glass in the back yard.
The umbrella was found in the corner of the yard, as worse for wear as ever. I suspect that it will be going away with the metal frame for the table. Jim wants me to buy a new patio table from Linens & Things that he saw. It is the same size as my beloved glass topped table, but it has a fire pit in the center. NOT HAPPENING. I can just see the outcome if I got that table. The mafia would play with the fire pit, burning things and wetting the bed. I do need to find out if I can replace the glass from the table, and if not, I'll have to replace the table. I'm not thrilled today with the weather, which is still breezy, cold, and full of mold spores. This is not a good thing.
On the other hand the kitty jail did pretty good through the storm. Nothing was broken, though it got pretty soggy in there. The cats were in and out of the enclosure through out the storm and meowed us numerous reports on the events taking place. Most of them were quite adamant that I needed to see the outside during the worst of the storm. I refused to do so, which has earned me a black mark in their books.
Not that I care much, I've been having "more" (yeah right haha) fun doing our taxes. I've never done an 1040 before, and have to do so to get the exemptions I need. I was going to take Rob up to VITA on post, but he cannot be sitting up and around for that long. It just takes too much out of him as it is. So, I've done the taxes, hope that I didn't make any mistakes and that we will get some refund back.

I hope things get easier soon. Check Sam's club if you have to get a new
table, they have nice stuff and at the end of the season it is very
discounted. Lee, still praying for you

Of course it's just coming up on the time of year when people want to *use*
their patio furniture.

You should be able to replace the glass. Take the frame and a sample
of the glass to anywhere that is a commercial glass and plastics
supply. They can cut it to size and bevel the edges nicely. If you
need a cheaper alternative, or would like a different look, get a
piece of plywood cut to fit the opening and decorate it to your liking
with paint, tile, or even colored glass mosaic.
