They've been posting less and less for a while now. I figured that
Steve will probably continue to post every couple of years. Doesn't
Karen still posts every week or two, at least? She might be more
active on the feline diabetes board now.
I sometimes wonder myself why I'm still here. :)

You're living vicariously, Tak. And we still love hearing about your
beloved Betty.

Because sooner or later, you will get another kitty, or another kitty
will get you - however it goes. And then you will need to tell us all
about it!

You belong here, Tak, and Betty will always be an important part of rpca.

Why, because you have such kitty-love beating in your heart!
I have wondered myself whatever happened to OJ, the person who introduced me
to the board to begin with.
Blessed gbe,
Baha

Alive and well - just awfully busy in RL. Had some 'puter problems
which left me unable to access groups via my normal route. Which is
why I'm posting via Google.
Not sure when I'll get back to being a regular contributor. Old time
readers may remember about four years ago when I wrote about
maybe having to move because my no-pet apartment complex had
sold and I wasn't sure if the new owners would agree to my having
three cats (not to mention two cockatiels). After some hassle,
including
giving notice that I'd move before parting with any of "MY Family",
the new owners agreed my putting up a pet deposit and keeping
everyone. Well, the "new' owners are now the "old" owners. I'm
getting to go through the whole thing again. Takes longer this time,
as the new "new" owners are some corporation in California.
Enough of that, the important thing is that the girls are all fine.
I'm
happy to report that Spotty has been accepted as a full fledged
clowder
member - even Little Bit has accepted her as family. We also have a
new family member - another one with feathers rather than fur,
though. I was out making a pizza delivery Thursday night and spotted
a cockatiel sitting on a stairway railing outside a building. I
knocked
on a few doors asking if anyone knew where the bird belonged, but
didn't find anyone who knew anything. So, on the way back to the truck
I picked up the bird and ended up bringing her home. For now I'm
keeping her in my small cleaning cage until I'm sure she's healthy.
Just being cautious as I don't see anything suspicious, so should be
transferring her to the regular cage in a couple days and hoping that
she'll get along well with the established bird.
Guess that's enough of an update. I miss you guys, and once RL
settles down I'll be back.

I'm very glad to see you and your family, furred and feathered, are doing
well. Lots of good luck purrs when dealing with the new apartment owners.

Hi Steve,
Good luck with your new landlords. Maybe you can get a letter of
recommendation from your current landlords attesting that you and your furry
and feathered roommates are good renters.

That's awfully lucky that a cockatiel owner happened by! Just post
whenever you can manage.
