Would you and your furry masters please purr for our Casper-kitty?
She's hospitalized, on IV fluids, antibioitcs and had a feeding tube
inserted today to try and turn this around.  It all happened so
fast...

For a few days, not many, she had been not eating as voraciously as
usual, but still eating.  Spring hairball season, we thought, and
proceeded to administer laxatone.  Wednesday morning, however, both
she and our 19-yr old Tiger with CRF refused to eat at all.  We now
suspect that both caught a little bug which upset their tummies. We
were particularly worried about Tiger, fearing her kidney numbers had
spiked.  So both went off to their respective vets.  Tiger's kidney
numbers were unchanged, so she came home with antibioitcs and has
improved significantly.  Casper's liver, however, is in big trouble.
At this point, we're hoping it's hepatatic lipiodisis (sp?) and if
we can get food into her, she may recover.  She was eating, but very
little and TED didn't like how things were going, so the tube went in
this am.  Please please pray that things turn around.  I'm so not
ready to lose my blue-eyed baby yet...the house is so empty and we
miss her and want her back home...
