If we all didn't like Baby Eyes' name so much, I would have to change it to
'Ms. Hairball' because she could probably take 1st Prize for her hairballs.
For the last week or so, she has been producing a humongous one *every day*.
I mean, a 5-6" long, 3/4" diameter blockbuster of solid hair. Amazingly, she
has no bald spots whatsoever; in fact her coat doesn't even look like it's
any thinner.

My Patience comes pretty close.  She is a long haired black kitty that
leaves
tufts of black hair everywhere, and I brush her a couple of times a
week, and
she still throws up giant hairballs about once a week.  I'm surprised
she isn't
bald, but she seems to still have more than enough hair!

Could that be a hairpoo rather than a hairball.  IMHO that much hairball
could be fatal.  Correct me if I am wrong.   MLB

I assume 'hairpoo' means a hairball that came out of the back end of the cat
instead of from the mouth, but I've never seen such a thing. Baby Eyes
always horks hers up. I am usually around when it happens and I see it
coming and run over with a piece of paper and catch it rather than letting
it land on the carpet or something. I'd be more worried if she stopped
vomiting them.

I have seen a hairpoo.  More than once.  They are only partially hair,
but rather odd looking.

A hairpoo comes out the other end.

The first spring I had cats I brushed them every day for an hour or so,
vacuumed each day, and *still* I had tumbleweeds.  It was a wonderment to
me that they weren't bald.

I do, but only because she enjoys it so much. She doesn't shed like the
others. I guess she doesn't want me to have to vaccuum.
