It's raised a couple of inches off the floor and it has a decorative
shaped front on it... it's easy for the girls to bat their toys
underneath the curved opening, but not nearly so easy for them to
fetch them out again! Every so often I sweep the long metal ruler
underneath it and see what I can find and make the girls very very
happy... I cleaned it out on Monday and retrieved about twenty
assorted mice/balls/pompoms for them. Tessie watched me over my
shoulder, and I swear she was saying 'wow, Meowmie's doing magic!'
The funny thing is I just saw her bap her foil ball underneath the
dresser again, so I thought I'd fetch it back out for her, and there
were three others under there already!

Hehehe! Here all the cat toys go under a little bench/chest. Every
week or so, Dante and I go on an archaeological expedition to discover
all the buried bottle caps, drinking straws and flannel mousies. ;)

In my case, it's the cat bed that eats cat toys. Duffy is especially fond
of feeding the bed -- I will find as many as a dozen small mice and assorted
other objects *tucked into* the fold all around the inner edge of the bed!
That still leaves *lots* of toys scattered around the house, so perhaps you
can envision how many playthings my furbabies have.

Caliban thinks foil balls are Da Bomb! He can play with one for hours on
end. Every now and then I'll see him run past me with a foil ball in his
mouth, intent on carrying it somewhere where it's better to bat around.
He is so in love with his foil balls.
He pushes them under the sideboard or under another cabinet. Sometimes I
take the broom and sweep out his stash. Usually we find a huge treasure
of three or four foil balls, and Caliban doesn't know where to start!

Oh! He's a Moving Man, like Dante. ;)

Stinky loves foil-wrapped chocolates-- he steals them and baps them
all over until the smell gets him stoned. Little Christmas
chocolates, Hershey's Kisses, easter eggs. We used to find a bunch of
Easter chocolates behind the sofa after Easter.

Tessie loves foil of all sorts... every time we break out the hersheys
kisses (or anything else wrapped in shiny foil) she sits there and
BEGS for the foil... fortunately it's never occurred to her to steal
the actual chocolates! She waits for us to throw it for her :P

Heh - what they were saying to each other was, 'That was fun. Let's see
if we can make her do it again.'

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised!
