As you know, I am Wiccan, and celebrate Samhain (Halloween) as a
sacred holiday that honors those who have departed this world,
especially in the past year. I would be honored to include any of
your beloved furkids or human loved ones tomorrow, as I honor those
who have crossed over. Just start a list under this thread, and if
you'd like to say a few words, by all means, that would be great.
Thank you, and bright blessings,
Ginger-lyn

That's very similar to the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico. It is
a celebration, not a time of mourning, when people believe the departed
come back to spend some time with the living.
I would very much appreciate you honoring my big sister Sara, who died
when she was an infant, as well at Tom's brother Jeff, who died a day
short of his 41st birthday.
Thanks!
Victor

Reading Yowie's Cave anecdote just now brought back fond memories of
Amber and his Magic Cave. He had so much charming, yet mischievous,
personality. I miss him terribly. I would be pleased if you could
honor his memory in your celebration.

I'd like to add my mom who died very suddenly on Jan 3, 2003. I love and
miss her terribly.

Thanks, Joy. I know I'll get over it one day, but that day doesn't seem to
be yet.

As am I. I will also be sure to remember those on this list.
I add my grandmother Edith who passed away this year at the age of 98.

That is so kind of you. I'd be pleased if you'd remember my
mother, Marie, and my husband, Steve. There are many of our furkids
waiting at the RB but I would especially remember Custard, the best
kitty ever. Thank you for doing this.

If you get this before your observances, please remember our beloved
Fritzie; Frances Szczepanski (sha-PAN-ski), my mother and an honored
veteran; and Bibi Sodhi, whose funeral we shall be attending in Toronto
today, a woman who chose to stand for me in place of family at my
wedding.
Blessed be.

Thank you everyone for posting about your loved ones, and they will be
remembered this evening. It will still probably be another 8-10 hours
before I do the ceremony, so if anyone else wishes to add someone,
there is still time. I will check back right before I begin.
Blessed Samhain to all!

I'd just like to say that I think it's most sweet and kind of you to
make that offer. I'm not a religious man, but I try to be a reverent
man. As a reverent man, I thank you.

I have lost five of my family in just over a year, I would appreciate your
adding them to your ceremony. My Uncle Gene, grandpa Fred, grandma Marjorie,
my nephew Justin, and of course, my 18 year old furbaby, Fireball.
Bless you, Lisa.

Thank you to all who replied.
I had a very sweet, gentle ceremony and honored all of your loved
ones, as well as mine. I hope that some of the peace I felt comes to
all of you as well.
Blessings,

Thank you Ginger-lyn. We didn't do our usual ceremony this year. I
feel sorta like the x-tian who didn't make it to church on Xmas.
