I have Lily on IAMS dry food kibble, so I know this is safe. She gets this
everyday. Twice a week I also give her, as a treat, a pouch of the MEOW
MIX cuts in gravy and she gets MEOW MIX DRUMSTICKS as a treat
everyday.

I don't recall seeing MEOW MIX brand in any of the recall lists and it doesn't
say that they are made by Menu Brand companies, so I am assuming
these are safe?

The reason I'm confused is that the Menu Brand companies make so many
of the name-brand foods also, and MEOW MIX may be one of them. Should
I still be giving these to her?

Meow Mix seems to be owned by Del Monte. MM does not have any news about the
recall on their website. But given the size of the recall, who knows for
certain.

Anything made in Canada - I am not using until this thing gets cleared
up.  Check the label and see where it was made.

Yes, the company is Canadian owned, and yes it has 4 plants, one of
which is also in Canada.

But boycotting Canadian made cat food will not do any good, because
the problem plants are in New Jersey and Kansas.

(this assumes something new hasn't been announced re: location in the
last 24 hours or so)

I feed my cats PetGuard canned food which is made in Canada.  I don't think
PetGuard is affected by the recall.  I've gone to the PetGuard website and
there is no mention of Menu Foods.
