One of Quinn's favorite games is mock fear, e.g. seeing something or
somebody and, tail up, taking off at full speed.  Well, this morning
when I opened the backdoor he did just that, except he failed to
remember he was sitting by the pool and in he plunged, he was climbing
out by the time I heard the splash and slunk off in embarassment befpre
I could do anything.   That's one of my cliches, that every cat falls in
the pool, just as every cat gets locked in the garage eventually.  It
doesn't really happen to everyone of them but it seems to.  Quinn's back
in the house now, licking himself dry,  Tao's next, I figure, because he
likes to walk/run the narrow burm between the pool and the garage.  Norm

All of the cats that I have had over the years have loved to lean way
over and drink out of the bathtub.  At some point, each of them has
slipped and fallen into the bathwater, resulting in the cat dashing
away from the tub.  Horrors!  I'm all wet!

<snip cat splash>

Bathtub...or the toilet. It's happened to all my cats too. Usually
just once :)

I call it the baptism.

Fugazi (RB) once when playing as a kitten jumped over the side of the bath
tub without realising that I had just filled the bath.

I swear she jumped backwards without touching it! She simply reversed herself
in mid air, it looked like a film being wound backwards

Awww. poor lad.  How absolutely embarrassing for him.  I suppose he is
saying "I mean to do that" ?
