I love it! Rock 'n roll animals!

I found myself really enjoying the R&R Hall of Fame inductions this
past week. For some reason, I love seeing these somewhat
worse-for-wear guys (and ladies-- like Patti Smith and Ronnie Spector)
getting together and rocking the house. It gives me hope. Actually,
every time I see "Keef" Richards up on two feet, it gives me hope. ;)

Did you hear Patti Smith on Fresh Air? (Also Michael Stipe, another
of my favorites.)

Did not, but I did kvell to see both of them inducted. I saw Patti
back in (again), 197-oops. ;) Back then, her music seemed both fierce
and obscure at the same time, but she was such a gentle, almost
unwordly lady-- seems like she has kept that quality.

Another thing at the induction that made me almost laugh out loud was
the sight of the remaining Van Halen's daughters, standing up and
giving their fathers the VH sign. ;)
