Passing this on, hoping someone in the group can help....

My name is Lana Singletary. I live in McCormick, SC - western SC on the
Savannah River just across the river from Georgia. The neighbors of a friend
of my mothers had two Abyssinians. Mr. Magillicuddy is 15 years old and
Tygger is 7 years old. Their lady died in December and their man has had to
go to an assisted living home. The kitties were scheduled to be put to sleep
yesterday. Instead, my mother took them in temporarily. She is not able to
handle an indoor cat due to her physical condition.

We are trying to place them with someone who knows something about them. The
kitties have both been declawed (I know, I hate it, too). I have six kitties
already and they will attack these poor kitties if I bring them home with
me. The only other option I have at this time is to keep them in the lounge
of an ink refill factory that I own. They will be alone overnight but at
least they are still alive. Are there any Abysinian rescue groups in South
Carolina? Please contact me at hermajesty@wctel.net or call me at
864-465-3403.

I really want to do the right thing by these kities and I'm not sure what
that is. Any help you can give me will be MOST GREATLY appreciated. I am in
York, SC for the weekend so if you can contact me before Monday, you can
reach me at 803-628-4049. Thank you in advance whether can help or not.

Unfortunately, my parents are also of an age where even if they wanted pets
they can't physically deal with them.  Wish I knew someone who could help
but alas, I don't.

Pat if you know this woman, she really needs to find out who bred the
cats and call them - the breeder(s) should be responsible for the cats
under these circumstances.  I will pass this on to my Abby-owning
friends in CA - they know breeders and maybe someone can help.

I don't know her. The plea was sent to members of an Abyssinian group I
belong to. If there's anyone in her area (western SC) interested in Abys,
this is a good opportunity to help a couple of them.

can help this lady.
