Hate to say this but they don't look like they are "snuggling".  They look
dead.  Birds don't sleep like that.

You have to click the Birds link on the left.  I read the comments and
someone else asked if they are alive.  Another poster said yes but I don't
think it was the OP.  If they are alive they are very, very well trained.
Most birds sleep standing up with their heads tucked back.  I've had some
(parakeets) that would scoot under the paper on the bottom of their cage but
they didn't sleep on their sides.

Oh yes.  THe kitten and the ferret, and the mighty, cookie-stealing
hamster, the wet puggle-doggie, and the chicken cops sorting out the
delinquent bunnies. ;)

BTW, the poster of the birdies popped up and said they are alive and
well, that that was a baby picture of them snuggling after a
hand-feeding.

That would probably make a difference.  Depending on how young they areit's
possible they couldn't perch yet.
