Last weekend I wore shorts. Today I'm shivering from the same 12 degrees and 20 below windchill. AND I GOTTA GO OUT ALL DAY! I'm tired of shoveling all this "Global Warming" in downstate NY :P We had better weather visiting in Whitehorse, Yukon for the start of the Yukon Quest sled dog race. North of Braeburn it was -28°C (-12°F) with no wind and we got out of the van to look at elk on the hillside. Outside with no hat and no gloves for 15 minutes and I didn't feel the cold while snapping photos, and it was beautiful. I was colder putting out the recycle bin at home last night with the damn winds howling. And to be back on topic for this group, our hosts there have an older cuddly cat that loved all the attention we gave her as ours was in a boarding home during our vacation and we missed her so much (the local Best Friends pet boarding folks are great!
