am not supposed to take more than 15 minutes on the hotel computer.
Sigh. Wish you were here for a major discussion of the weather. And
cats. need a cat discussion fix. Need to talk about jobs, school,
climates, travel. Anything but Rob's probable life span. Won't
discuss the fact that Rob is being treated by committee. Cats would
do a more organized job. Today, I contacted the voice mail of Rob's
neurologist to let her know that the radiology and whatever
departments are putting in an "unbrella" to catch blood clots before
they can get to his heart and lungs. The neurologist just found out
that he was in hospital on Monday. He's been in h ere two weeks
today. I want my hunny bunny back to himself and home.

And we want that for you both. In the meantime, all the hugs and purrs
we can muster are headed your way.

At least its a commitee. What annoyed me (and still does) is Dave getting
treated by people who only have interest in one thing. We had a dietician who
wanted him discharged after a week in hospital because "He's eating fine"
when Dave pointed out he couldn't walk the guy's attitude was that was not a
reason to keep him in hospital he was sorted nutritionally that's all. He's
also had people whose only concern was his skin, holding up his physio
because it is apparently not possible for the nurses and the physios to co-
ordinate themselves. I could go on...I mean you even have the affair of the
stockings (This is over the last week)
1. One nurse says they need to be changed every 3-4 days
2 Another nurse says he needs to take them off every night-can I do it or
should they send someone round every night?
3. Another nurse showing rare sense points out that since he was measured for
the one's he has, 10 weeks or so ago and his legs have vastly increased their
muscle bulk, so they are miles too small, no wonder he's been complaining
about them feeling more uncomfortable
4. Her supervisor phones me a few days later to ask if I am taking them off
at night. I have to tell him that one of his own staff has oredred new one's
5. When the new one's arrive they are the closed toe type, no good
ARGHHH!
