Purrs for Oscar

No, we haven't increased the size of our family. Oscar belonged to a New
Orleans refugee here in Austin who just passed away. Tom had started
volunteering with this organization that helps people in the last stages
of cancer. Margaret only had an old picture of some relatives and her
cat Oscar. Everything else she lost during the hurricane. As soon as Tom
found out, he set out to go find Oscar, but the case manager had already
taken him. We want to make sure he's not taken to the city shelter,
where he will likely be euthanized, but rather to the Humane Society
where he will be found a home.
Can we have some purrs for Oscar to be rescued in time and given a
second chance?

Thanks.

Victor

Purrs worked again!!! Turns out the case manager is an animal lover who
has 5 cats, 2 dogs and a bunny, and he's thinking of adopting Oscar. If
it doesn't work out, he will make sure Oscar finds a good home to live in.
I'm so happy for Oscar. When I used to volunteer at the Humane Society,
the saddest cases were always of those pets who were there because their
owners died. Tom and I are putting together legal documents to protect
each other in case of death, as well as looking after our crew if we
both were to die.

Terrific!!!!  I'm so happy to hear this.    I know you and Tom are
delighted.  Thanks to you both for helping out.  Poor ol' Oscar
deserves the best and I'm sure he'll have it.
