My niece visited yesterday and brought her camera along. See Miranda
play with string! See Caliban wide-eyed and crazy! She really managed to
catch those huge, gorgeous eyes of his:

If you click on one of the pictures of the pie and then click on
recipe here you can get the recipe, and, boy, does it sound good.

I love this comment! "In fact, my pumpkin was grated, steamed and frozen
several months ago (you seasonal produce people can just bite me)" LOL
Nothing wrong with setting aside ingredients for later use :)

Yes, she started a food blog a while back. I'm finding it funny and
delightful. I guess she's had 'discussions' with other foodies about
fresh produce before. ;)

In the case of some produce which is difficult to freeze at home (like
broccoli or cauliflower - if you buy it already frozen from the store it's
been "flash frozen") I do understand the seasonal produce logic. But you
can get just about anything out of season these days if you're willing to
pay the higher price. A lot of foodies who pretty much only buy produce
from farmer's markets so of course what's available will be seasonal. I
also know some foodies who assume everyone has a farmer's market close by,
which is a ridiculous assumption to make.
And the photos of Miranda and Caliban are, of course, gorgeous.

What can I say? She's a foodie. She puts a lot of effort in her cooking,
and photographs the stages of preparation, then the end result. Looks
delish. :) Her cooking usually is.

Great pix of the kitties, but where was the FW (Food warning)? *Some*
of us haven't had lunch yet. No fair, but it looks scrumptious!

Sorry 'bout that, Sam. I thought everyone knew by now that Mia's a
foodie. ;)
