Mark Edwards - 24 Feb 2007 02:29 GMT My dear, sweet wifey has figured out what to get me for my Not_Birfday this year, which birfday (my 13th) I won't have until next year. She ordered this for my 39th Not_Birfday:

A big latex vulture! Someone to keep an eye on me, in case I stumble, fall, bash my head open or just generally do something physically harmful. I'm sure it will help me stay awake in case it decides that I'm Not Really Sleeping.
For those who don't know, Archie McPhee is one of the primo sites for ordering gag gifts for weird people...

I gather you're one of those unlucky (or lucky?) people who has a birthday only once every four years? I know someone who shares your birthday.

We used to belong to the same Toastmasters club. The club had an 11th birthday party for him one year. Some people brought gifts - yo-yo's and such. It was a lot of fun.

If you need a fez for Roxy or Licky, or a flotilla of Devil Duckies, Archie McPhee would be the place. ;) Check out http://www.mcphee.com/

I kind of like the devilish Commie, myself.
Ketzl's Dad - 26 Feb 2007 15:11 GMT > >> Is it kind of like Spencer Gifts? > [quoted text clipped - 6 lines] > > I kind of like the devilish Commie, myself. A few years ago I acquired a Devli Duck to accompany the two regular rubber duckies I had acquired over the years, a momma-sized one and a baby-sized one. When I saw the Devil Duck at McPhee's I figured he would make a great "father figure" so I bought it.
Over the years, things get moved around, and all three ended up in a closet on a back shelf. The other day I was looking for something and noticed them. Thinking the Devil Duck might make a fun addition to Ketzl's ever-expanding toy box, I brought it out. He was mildly interested, maybe slightly "whelmed" but not overly so, :-) only slightly more so when I made it squeak for him, but essentially his response was "ho-hum."
Until, that is, two nights ago at 3:30 AM when I awoke to a very strange sound from the hallway. Stealthily approaching, I discovered K-man and the duckie getting "better acquainted" by now in the hallway where he had either dragged or batted or kicked it.
I really hope he doesn't learn how to make it squeak, but if he does, you can be sure it'll be in the wee hours.
