Earlier today I opened the front door and there was Waffles, sat with vole firmly clamped in her jaws. She did as she always does and presented her gift to me by dropping it at my feet. Problem is that these days, Waffles being an elderly feline, she's missing several fangs, so the rodent population is more likely to have suffered nothing worse than a severe gumming. This means that when I am presented with a vole, it's usually a very alive vole. The vole this morning was very much alive. It started to run about the hallway. Now, I may be a middle-aged, overweight f4rt, but I am exceedingly nimble in the rodent-chasing department. I quickly picked the vole up, so I could put it back outside in the undergrowth, in order that it escaped the clutches of the boycats living here. I was wearing a v-necked top. Vole sat in my hand, took one look at my chesticles and leapt. I do hope the neighbours weren't about as I was stood in the garden rummaging about in my top trying to extract a vole from my chesticles. It could not have been a pretty sight...
