My Mother in law is in her 80's and was moved from the nursing home to the
hospital Monday. She has pneumonia and other health problems. She is out of
state and her friends are keeping us informed. Yesterday one of her friends
went to see her and Cara didn't know who her friend was. Right now the
doctor doesn't know if she will recover or not.
They are keeping her comfortable and doing what they can for her.

Ah, well, comfortable can be good.  Purrs all around for those who
care about her, and those who are caring for her.

Purrs for your MIL.  If she has a high temperature because of her pneumonia
it is not necessarily significant that she didn't recognise her friend.
