Jake's totally blissed out expression and he digs his claws into my skin.

Molly's tufts of fur sticking up from the tips of her ears as she sleeps in
contentment.

Sam's (RB) deep loud Siamese yowls and growl's as he let the whole world
know what was what and who was in charge.

Sinking my fingers into soft warm fur to scritch a trusting cat.

The feather light bump as Molly jumps up at night thinking I'm asleep and
not wanting to disturb.

Spocky's liquid mrrrrps as his dinner is served and his unbridled
enthusiasm as he tries to convince me to feed him early
Persephone crawling up onto my shoulder, nuzzling into my neck and
then her falling asleep to her own breathy purrs
Spocky strolling through the house *yelling* his head off until he
finds you and then flopping onto his side for a scritch
Persephone bringing her mousie (or tie) to you at just-after-dawn
because she's awake, bored and wants to play
Spocky's special trills and meows as he invites Persephone to a game
of tussle
Persephone insinuating herself between me and DH on the bed (under the
blankets) and then purring us to sleep

Xoxo meowing to get scritches, he's not a very talkative fellow.
Luna getting under the covers in the early morning after I come back
from going to the toilet.
Maya "diving" from the armchair down to the cushion.
Basho demanding to be petted as close to my face as possible.
Issa's "kitty dance".
Fez's tiny little voice, telling you how hungry he his and how there's
NO FOOD!
Rufous herding me to go to the bathroom in the morning, so I can let the
shower trickle a little and he can kill the drops!

Sugar's "Maaa" "Maaa".

Pearl's limpid eye look of deep appreciation and her Tarzan yowl when
she is feeling frisky.

Sometimes I'd fall asleep on my back.
I'd wake up to find Max between my arm and my chest, with his legs wrapped
around my arm and his head on my shoulder.
If I moved the claws came out; Just a little, just enough, Max was very
subtle.

Watching Missy getting and giving affection with the other cats and
with Bear the d*g. To see the terrible "hisser at hoomans" in a tender
moment.

Watching Sunrise pose and preen, the red-gold diva always looking her
best and knowing it so well.

The way Winnie will come up the stairs immediately that I am out of
the bathroom if I have to visit it in the middle of the night,
requiring a midnight stritch, often followed by Sunrise.

The way Maggie May, sixteen years old, won't take any guff from cat or
d*g (or Uncle Bill) and will get that paw up to strike if provoked,
even though she  is the sole of sweetness, the princess of purrs,  if
not hassled.

And the way WooToo "yeeks" at me when she has work for me to do and
trills at me when things are good and it is time to snuggle and
sleep.

Stinky power-purring as he meatloafs on my chest.

-- The way Dante compresses himself into a little meatball (too round
to be a meatloaf) then looks up with an inexpressibly smug look on his

And of course, UPSIDE-DOWNY HEAD!!  Stinky is the master of this
maneuver.

Make Levees, Not War

Gillie's little folded black ears swivelling around... somehow they
seem to be more expressive than regular ears.

Ming's funny little "prrruup?" as he walks down the hall. None of my
current cats are talkers, so Ming's vocalizations are the only
"conversation" I get with them.

Buttercup's insistence when she wants to be petted. She will NOT take
no for an answer!

Katrina

Lucy turning in circles before settling down on my lap for a nap.

The funny little "eh!!" noise Casper makes when you fuss with her
tail.

Tiger likes to sleep under the covers on TOP of one of us.  That means
if we roll over, she makes like one of those lumberjacks on a log and
just moves with us, staying on top.  Sometimes she loses her balance
and the spikes come out, which for sure wakes you up!

Smokey's cuddling around my head every night purring me to sleep.

Mistletoe's "supervision" each night while I'm on the computer.
Involves one or more trips into my arms for a cuddle and purr session.

Mir-mir and Caliban washing each other: I'm gonna wash you. No, I'm
gonna wash you! No, I'M gonna wash YOU! No, you got it all wrong, I'M
the one washing YOU! etc etc

Caliban's huge eyes looking at me with complete trust but not a trace of
intelligent life.

Caliban's snorts, sniffles and peeps as he is sleeping.

Me calling 'Miranda!* and Mir answering 'Mama?'

Miranda curling up in the crook of my arm for a nap.

The appraising way Miranda looks at me just before she jumps on me to
climb up me.

Roxy rubbing noses with me, and rubbing her head against my
face over and over.

Smudge resting her chin on my hand while I'm typing. (But I can
still do it.)

Licky carting around various objects in his mouth, and depositing
them in other places, the logic of which is utterly mysterious to me.

Roxy trotting to the "petting area" - the throw rug in the middle
of the living room - and lying on her back with her front paws curled
under in an over-the-top coy cuteness maneuver.

Smudge literally *galloping* toward me if she's more than a block
away from the house when I come home.

Licky's very loud purr.

Roxy draped over the back of the couch, soaking in the heatwaves as
they waft from the baseboard heater behind the couch.

Smudge's need to be watched, occasionally petted, and given
encouragement when she's eating dry kibble. (She doesn't seem to
need this when eating canned food, go figure.)

Licky sitting perfectly still and tidy, but with his pupils
completely dilated and his ears pinned way back. He just kinda
hangs like that sometimes!

The way all three of them love to cuddle with me when I'm on the
computer, though not all at once! (Roxy's here now.)

Smokey - Jumping up on the arm of my chair, lying there contented and purring
up a storm while I give him skritches.
Sweetpea - Rolling around on the bed while I give her skritches telling her
what a good girl she is.
Tippy - Jumping up on the counter and refusing to let me touch him until I bend
over so he can rub his face all over  mine. Then I am allowed to give him
skritches and kisses.
Teddy - Up on the cat tree with upside downy head letting me see how cute she
is while I give her lovins.
Kramer - Coming up to me when I get home and putting his paws up on my legs so
I will pick him up and give him lots of lovins and kisses while he purrs his
big squeaky purr.

My favorite thing with Lily is when she has just awaken from
a nap and she climbs up onto my chest and rests her head
