Besides the laptop, I have another new toy. I have a new digital camera.
It is one of the most incredible digital cameras I have ever seen. It
does everything except scoop the litter box. I am already using it to
take pictures of the cats and birds at the bird feeder, but it will be a
while before I figure out all the functions on the camera.

As soon as I get the pictures out of the camera and onto my computer -
where I can put them into webshots, I will provide a link and show you
the new stuff. I caught the Stripey Thing in a particularly cute pose
sleeping today.

When I got the camera, they tried to talk me into a carrying case for
it, but I resisted because I had one in high school for my what was a
pretty nice camera then (I still have it and it still takes great film
pictures), but I found I missed a lot of shots because the camera was
put away, so I took it out and have never used a carrying case since
then. All of my cameras have stayed out where I could use them in short
notice and this one will too.

I think tomorrow after I do some homework, I will try getting the
pictures onto the computer (it isn't rocket science, I'm just lazy) and
then I will put them into webshots.

I can't wait to be able to take endless pictures with the only cost
being recharging batteries. One of my long awaited dreams come true. I
have wanted this since I was 14 - all the color photos I wanted to take
and print without having to print everything and able to blow certain
ones up and not having to have a darkroom. It still feels weird to
handle photo paper in the light! I'm so excited. We'll see how the cats
feel. The birds don't mind as long as I don't get too close to the window.

I look forward to seeing your pictures. :-) I'm also slightly envious.

Wow, I have camera-envy. My camera was awesome in its day.
Unfortunately, its day was 7 years ago and they're so much better now!
I have to have a camera case because I invariably lose lens caps, have
to carry extra batteries & an extra memory card available. They didn't
hold that many pictures back then.

Oh tell...what did kind a camera did you get?!  Not trying to be nosy,
but shopping for a new one myself-my first digital.  Looking forward
to your pictures. :)
