Her eye looks worse today. Now I'm kicking myself for not taking her
yesterday. But she looked so much better, I thought the treatment was
working!

I now have a theory that she has viral conjunctivitis, caused by herpes.
It's the conjunctiva that keeps swelling and then going dow, which makes
her eye less or more visible, respectively. Or it could be the inner lid,
it's hard to tell. Right now, it seems to be covering her eye again.

So I guess I'll be taking her to the eye doctor this week after all.
She seems in decent spirits otherwise, continues to eat, snuggle
and purr, use the litter box, etc. She doesn't play, though - that
might be because the moving objects that I try to interest her in
*look* different to her now that she has single-eye vision. Or maybe
her energy's too low.

<Sigh...> Poor girl!

Will keep purrs going that she will be cured -- and quickly.  It's tough
to have a sick babe of any kind.  Best wishes too.   MLB

I'm so sorry. It must be so frustrating to have her getting worse again.
Many purrs for you both.

Purrs on the way.  I thought it sounded like she was getting better, too.

Just a suggestion, but see if you can get an anti-inflammatory from your
vet. not sure if it would help, but it helped ours when we had an eye
infection/flu thing go through recently. It also eases the discomfort, as it
helps the swelling go down. Not sure if it would apply to her, but it can't
hurt to ask :)

Yes, she was on an anti-inflammatory for 5 days. I don't know what drug
it was, but it might not be safe to give it to a cat more than that.

I'm taking her to a vet today. I can't wait until tomorrow or Tuesday
when I might be able to get her into the eye specialist's office.

Yes I have heard that. Well at least they gave it to you. Good luck at the
specialist's office.
