We had a heavy fall of snow last night. :) Miss Lily Whiskers is now 18
months old (my goodness, where did the time go!??!) and she's allowed in
the out when she wants.
This morning, she followed me outside to check the ferrets before
breakfast as she does every morning....... and saw the wet white stuff
for the first time. Her whiskers came forward in shock, and she sniffed
it. Then promptly sneezed. All the other cats watched her from the
window. (they're not stupid ;o)) *THEN* she touched it with her paw. And
quickly pulled her paw back in horror. It's wet *AND* cold!! She is
given up going outside as a bad job and gone back to bed in disgust.
Of course, the other Miles felines weren't stupid enough to get up in
the first place, after all SNOW is baaaad for kitties!! ;o)

LOL!! Did she shake each paw that came into contact with the horrible
cold whiteness? It always cracks me up when cats do that.

Did she go from one door to another, hoping that she would find a Door
Into Summer?
One of my favorite novels and the cat, Pete, is one of the main
reasons.

Mine both love the snow. Their first steps outside, they do the 'lift a
paw and shake it, then lift another and shake it' dance, but then they
forget the cold and the wet and race around in the snow excitedly.

When we were in Alaska, our cat would play in the snow. But still would
stop every once in a while for the lift the paw and shake it routine.

It's hard to believe they enjoy the snow so much, but they do!

What a lovely anecdote! Thanks Helen. I can't believe Miss Lily Whiskers
is 18 months old already!
