I was eating dinner last night and Kramer kept jumping up on the table. I put
him down at least 5 times! He has been pretty good lately and staying off the
table while we are eating but Dennis wasn't home so I guess he felt he should
fill in for him. Well I was looking out the window and heard a thump and looked
around. Seems Kramer tried jumping on the table again and knocked a pan of very
dark brown gravy on the floor. There was a 2 ft circle of gravy on the light
carpeting, gravying on the chairs, up the side of the credenza, up my pant legs
and socks and Kramer was covered with gravy (It was only slightly warm by this
time). He took off and ran into the bedroom, jumped up on the bed and proceeded
to roll around on the comforter. I grabbed him and gave him a bath, which
didn't impress him a whole lot. I then started cleaning up the mess. There is
still a light stain on the carpeting, I didn't have any shampoo for the carpet
shampooer so I used some of the spray stuff after moping it up with a towel.
I'm off work today so I will go get shampoo and hopefully get the stain out. We
just had the carpeting installed last June! The joys of a kitten! ;-)

LOL! You mean you didn't let him clean the gravy off himself? :)

Don't think he could have gotten it all, he was literally covered from head to
tail.

LOL! I'm so glad I don't have carpet! With Caliban around, who knows
what it would look like <glancing to the side where Cal is picking meat
chunks out of his bowl and carrying them out on the floor to eat them there>

Oh no! What a Bad Kitty! He deserved that bath, the little troublemaker.
That must have been one of those "you're only alive right now because
you're too cute to strangle" moments. :)
My carpet is covered with years of stains from kitty mischief, as well
as kitty barfing, and my own spilled-coffee and tea stains. Makes me
glad I'm a renter! :)
Hope you can get it all out.
Joyce
PS - I love your description of the gravy "gravying on the chairs,
up the side of the credenza", etc. I suppose that is what gravy does -
it gravys. :)

Yea, it's hard to stay mad at them for too long. A little while later he was
curled up in my lap, the little turd!

LOL! I'm sorry about the mess, it sounds awful to have had to clean
all that up, including one wiggly, indignant kitten. He sure maximized
the damage done, the little fiend. Just never try to paint your home
with Kramer in residence, or lord knows WHAT he might do!
I remember one evening, Pan got the raging zoomies like that. I have
shelves in my kitchen upon which I keep teapots, ornamental items etc
etc, and Pan used to like to sit or lie on the top shelf and supervise
me while I cooked or cleaned. He'd hop onto the counter and then up
to the shelf from there.
Well... one night, he was moving too fast and miscalculated his
distances. Alas for him, I'd been washing the dishes during his zoomy
episode, and he fell into the dish pan. He escaped via the dish
drainer and broke one of the saucers of my best china dessert set (*&^
% cat!) then fled, dripping, into my bedroom. After I stopped
laughing I went in to dry him off. He was washing a front paw, near
the bathroom door, pretending nothing had happened. You never saw such
an embarrassed cat in your life. =o)

We painted most of the rooms last summer, so shouldn't have to do that any time
soon. I do have to finish the bedroom one of these days though.
