Just now turned on the TV and saw what awful storms hit the state last
night.  I'm still trying to get in touch with my sister.  She should be fine
in Sarasota, but I'm not exactly sure where around Orlando her daughter and
grandchildren live.

So we are purring strongly for Florida residents.  And would those of you
who live in Florida check in?  We worry.

I am ok Jo  the storms hit about a 15 minute drive away  near a town called
Deland.  Lady lake and Paisley  got hit hard also.  Orlando is about 40
minutes drive from my house about an hour from Deland.  The damage goes from
Lady lake all the way out to near Daytona Beach

I sent another post asking for purrs and prayers for these folks.  A lot of
people got hurt and are missing  about 1000 homes were destroyed.

You must be very close to me.  I'm in Deltona just south of Deland.  Some
people are not into work because of damage but nothing serious (although the
guy who had a tree fall on his fairly new truck probably thinks it's serious)
I'm fine, no damage, spent some time in the pantry with some very upset
kitties who didn't like being in their carrier for two hours.  I didn't spend
two hours in the pantry but I kept the kitties in their carriers because I
wanted to be able to grab them in a hurry.

Matthew,

I'm glad you and the kids (and Mom) are okay. That was a huge storm.

How close did it get to the Palm Beach area? We have a relative near
there -- in Lantana.

Thanks,

Rhonda

I'm in Pasco County, but about 20 minutes from Lakeland.  Funny how the
storm went completely around us!  We fell into the gap again.

We somehow fell into the gap.  We got about 10 minutes of rain, but not more
than 45 minutes away, there were tornadoes.  It's so weird!  The storm
completely encircled us, but we were in the clear.

We live four hours drive south of there... this morning I was like
'storms? What storms?' I feel very sorry for the people who were in
their path...

I am a lurker who lives in Boca Raton, FL.  Kitty Schottland, Lilith
Kitten-Mahoney, Sheriff Rosco P. Catrane, and I are all okay.

I'm in NY, where we are enjoying the bitter cold temps the
western US had a couple weeks ago.

One friend of mine in FL is fine. He's a RV and camper repairman,
so storms are a good money maker for him.
