I haven't posted in ages. I've gotten a part-time job from home, I'm kind
of a 'service center' for a company, and answer questions routed to me. It
started out at 20 hrs/wk but then grew like moss to 30 hrs/wk. Now,
finally, back down to 20. Interesting but fatiguing.
And the babies aren't happy being locked out of the puter room when they
know I'm in there. Loki at first would sit outside the door and cry, but
now he knows I'll be out eventually. (All he really wants is food!)
Anywhooo, Ive been monitoring occasionally but no time to post.
(It is nice to be productive and earning a few bucks again, though!)
So I'll keep monitoring, and when this slows a bit I'll take part again.
I miss you all.

That sounds great, being able to work from home answering questions.
Maybe you could answer some pressing questions here as well, like any
progress touching Brother, and is Rex still a beautiful and regal cat?

Tak, you can't seriously expect me to answer without any bias, can you?
I can still pet Bruver (he's the outdoor kitty) and pull burrs from his
coat when he's eating, and Jim has been able to pet him once. He
(Bruver) has been in several fights, as evidenced by screams during the
night and spots of blood on the towels in his little house.
What can I say about my Rex. Regal? yes. Spoiled? yes, but still my
baby. I've posted a couple more shots of them on webshots. Start here
and go to the next two to avoid the whole album:

Rex, Loki and maMA are finally (kind of) at peace with each other; but I
still hear occasional spits and growls. Such is my life!!

I hope that he can be caught and fixed someday.

Thanks for the pictures! They're beautiful cats. I always imagined
that Rex must be particularly soft.

Except when he bites! (I keep saying they're love bites, but he's Siamese
and male - - what can you say! But he's still my baby. He's so
standoffish, but at 3 in the morning he'll jump up on the bed and climb on
my chest and sleep for a couple of hours. I wake up from not being able to
breathe, but when he doesn't come to me I feel abandoned!

That sounds wonderful. I had an interesting surprise the other
day. Went to a friend's house, and his wife is soldering parts in
the kitchen. She gets paid by the piece, and they drop off the
wires, and pick up the finished solder connections. Works for
her, as she has two grand kids to watch.
People can be so resourceful.
