While surfing the web tonight, I came across B. Kilbans home page.

For those not familiar with B. Kilban's cat cartoons, they are very,
very strange, and very funny.

Many can be seen at:

www.eatmousies.com

Enjoy.

I've known about his work for years.  I used to have a sweatshirt with a
picture one of his kitties playing hockey as goalie against a team of mice.
On the reverse side was the kitty with no mice around, cleaning his teeth
with one of the mice' hockey sticks.

Love to eat 'em mousies.
Mousies what I loves to eat.
Bite their little heads of
nibble on they tiny feet.

And of course, don't forget this one:

"Cat, n. A small, furry mammal, often mistaken for a meatloaf."

...with a drawing of a cat in, you guessed it, the meatloaf position.

Kitty in a chinese peasant suit:  "Mou!"
Kitty in a chinese peasant suit batting something around:  "Mousie Dung!"

I love the fact that, in Mandarin, the word for cat is "mao", rhyming with
"how" and with a high-even tone, just like cat-talk.

My mother has an apron with that one. ;)  I love Kliban's cats.  I've
always longed to have a cat just like the Kliban model-- fat and
stripey.

That would be Billy. You can visit him, but he stays here unless he outlives
me.
