He's home

Frank is home but he seems sort of dazed. He's very hoarse, so I suspect
he has been yowling a lot today. :o( He tries to complain to me, but can
only manage a croak. I don't like taking him to the vet school hospital,
and I'm going to try and avoid it in the future. The cats always seem so
strange when they get home from there, and then it takes a long time for
them to recover. Unfortunately, it's the only place that's open 24/7.
Ah, well, hope there aren't any more emergencies.

Anyway, I have my Frank back - sort of. We'll see if he's back to his
own self tomorrow. At least he has all his fangs left. Now we'll just
have to hope that they don't get infected again.

Don't worry too much.  Recovering from a general anaesthetic makes you dazed
(take my word for it) and also there is a tube down the throat when the
surgery is going on, which makes you hoarse afterwards for a day or so. Take
my word for that, too.
Chill ;-)  He'll be fine in a few days.  He lived through it, didn't he? and
that's what you were so worried about.
Glory be, you have him back alive!  (been there.)

Thank heavens for some good news!  We're all hoping that this can be
treated without surgery.

Glad he's back.  And I hope he heals nicely.  Our vet has been reluctant to
pull fangs on cats if it can be avoided.  He says that sometimes they don't
heal properly and you end up with a hole between the mouth and the sinus
that keeps getting infected.

I'm sure his voice will recover once he's quiet for a while.

Purr Frank.

Glad our favourite Finn is back home. He'll be subdued a while - it can take a
day or so to come round completely from being out for the count so to speak.
Many continued purrs and good vibes heading across the North Sea.

I'm relieved his anaesthesia went okay -- poor baby -- give him gentle
scritches and purrs for a speedy recovery.

Happy to hear he's home (and I'm sure you and Nikki are even happier),
and purrs that he will be back to normal in no time.

I imagine there's more stress being in a teaching environment. At a
private practice there's just the regular staff to get used to, not
different groups teaching/learning how to do this or that. Of course,
we'd never get the vets and vet techs if they didn't have a place to
learn.

Awww, poor Frank.  We're sending purrs that he soon feels all better
and stays that way.

Purrs!  I'm glad they didn't have to do the surgery after all.
