I just got an email from BonBon (Bonnie). She had moved to Northern Nevada
from here in Houston about a year or so ago. She asked me to tell everyone
here hello for her since she has an awful ISP and hasn't been able to
subscribe to any newsgroup since she's been there (OY, newsgroup withdrawal
must be awful!!!).

Anyway, the move to Nevada was not a good one for them and they are trying
to move back to Houston (Michael is trying to find employment here first
and, as I've mentioned a few time (;>) employment is hard to come by here in
Houston right now). I'm very anxious to see them again, and to start
reading posts from BonBon on rpca again!

Lots of purrs for BonBon, I miss her posts. As for newsgroup access, maybe
she could use the server Polonca uses, nntp.aioe.org it only carries text
groups but it's free and does carry rpca.

And worst case, she could post/access through Google groups (although
I wouldn't want to do it full-time)

Jeanne, it's really not that bad once you get used to it. Better than
no access for sure!

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work out for them, but happy to hear
they're trying to return.

My ISP stopped carrying newsgroups, so I use nntp.aioe.org which is free
and allows you to post too.
