Swat low - too slow!

Last night, I was feeling pretty tired. I saw Bucky lying down in the
hallway by the kitchen and thought, "I'll just lay down on the floor
with the cats for awhile."

So I did. I was petting Bucky, and he was purring and enjoying it as
much as I was - probably more - grin. Then Little Boy, who is trying
to be alpha cat, gets jealous. Little Boy sort of moseys on up between
me and Bucky, and flops down.

I start petting Little Boy, and it's obvious that Bucky is jealous.
Every time my hand reaches Little Boys lower back, Bucky takes a swat
at my hand. Every time he swats at my hand, I move the hand.

This results in Little Boy getting a swat instead of me.

Little Boy twitches and turns a glare on Bucky each time it happens,
and I tell Bucky that he had better be carefull, or Little Boy might
just pay him back.

Bucky lucked out this time, though. I guess that Little Boy was
enjoying the petting and the stealing away of attention too much to
retaliate, which is a good thing, since my hand was in the middle
(grin).

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Mark, I think you are getting as naughty to your cats as Dave Y was to his
bunch.
LOL!
