I can always tell how much Spotsie likes her food by the
distance she pushes the bowl trying to get that last crumb of
food.  The Friskies Whitefish and Tuna gets the push.  The
Friskies Salmon gets the dried up lump left in the bowl.

I know the feeling! Feeding mine is like feeding a bunch of fussy old
ladies in a swanky resturant! One likes a, the other will only eat b on
tuesdays...

You get the idea! :)

LOL. Caliban's bowl is always licked clean, whatever the food in it.
Miranda's is never licked clean, whatever the food in it.

How do you get them to distinguish?  "Mine" and "thine"
doesn't seem to be a concept any of my cats have ever quite
grasped!  (Except at normal mealtime, when they are
presented with as many bowls as there are cats, the bowl
anyone sees first is the one that gets eaten from.)

Well, they don't understand "thine", anyway. :)

Oh, Caliban has no concept of 'thine.' He thinks everything is 'mine.' I
have to put up Miranda's bowl out of Caliban's reach, and then give it
to her and stand over her while she eats one mouthful and keep Caliban
at bay, then put it up on the fridge again. Ten minutes later, repeat.
This goes on until she maybe finishes her dish, or maybe only eats half
of it.

I feel your pain....the Boys in Orange will eat anything that's not nailed
down, most of the others are ok, counting various meezer preferences for
strange things like peas, broccoli and rubber bands....but Tahzha refuses to
believe she's a cat, looks at me *every* meal time with an expression of
'You want me to eat *that*??!!' and promptly walks off to try and swipe my
dinner. She literally will starve herself if there is ham going.
