I washed my quilt that had been on my bed.  I washed out all the cat
hair, and the Coca Cola I had spilled on it earlier this evening.

It's now 10:15.  At 10:14 I walked into the the apartment with my
quilt, fresh and warm from the dryer.

I walked into the bedroom and placed it on the bed.

A full THREE seconds after placing the freshly cleaned, warm quilt on
the bed, Mayhem comes flying into the room and UP onto the bed.  She
sniffed and promptly sat down, thinking 'Hey, this is WARM!!'

A harsh tug on the quilt to straighten it, jolted her out of her
distraction and seeing the look on my face she retreated off the bed.

*sigh*

Oh and I plan to make her PAY for it.

First I'll shed ALL over that quilt.  How DARE she remove all our cat
hair!  And then I'll keep meowing and begging for attention, EVEN while
she's asleep.  And if she doesn't pay attention to me, I've found a
good nip gets her attention.

Hopefully THAT will teach the slave to think twice before moving me
from my warm spot.

Mayhem

P.S.  Imp told me that Queen Nox told him to drop a lamp on her head.
The lamp is in the corner and we can't get to it.  Any other ideas for
putting the slave in her place?

Mine help me make the bed by making sure all the sheet and duvet
greebling monsters are dead as I put the clean covers on. Who ever
helped me then gets first dibs on sleeping in the middle of the now nice
clean, newly made bed. I definitely know my place in this house!!

Oh come on... you know cats are heat seeking missles!  Anything warm, just
out of the dryer, they are right there!  "Ain't no mountain high enough,
ain't no valley low enough" (there's an earworm for some folks!)... the cat
will find you.  You silly hoomin. ;)

Sometimes I think the only reason Jake stays indoors is so he won't miss the
"changing of the sheets".    He gets this look of sheer bliss on his face
when everything is fresh and clean just for him.
