This is admitting I'm an old, old lady but....

My ninth great-grandchild was born this morning, a girl, weighing
in at 6 lb 1 oz, 8 weeks early, tiny, wiggly, hairless, wrinkled, red,
and beautiful.  Her name is Aegwyn Grace.

(Did I ever mention my eighth, now nearly 4 months old, also a
girl, Leilani Brynn? )

Thank you.  Oh, yes, there will be cats in her life. That seems to
be the rule here.:)

Your grandchildren have a talent for lovely names.  I'm quite sure the
babies are lovely as well.

Oops!!!!  My goof.    You're right.  That should have been *four*
weeks early.  She was due in mid-February.  Sorry 'bout that.  Don't
have my thinkin' cap on straight.

Congratulations! Aren't you awfully young to be a great granma? ;-)
Aegwyn sounds Welsh...is it? And is Leilani Hawaiian? Lovely names.

Thanks.  Well, I'm not exactly ancient but....  Both of my
daughters were teen-age brides and *their* daughters followed suit and
were young mothers also.  You're right, Aegwyn is a Welsh name and
Leilani is Hawaiian.

Congratulations on your 9th.  I have 3.  The fourth one decided halfway
through the process that she would prefer not to come to this earth at
this time.    Leilani has a song with her name:  "Sweet Leilani, Heavenly
flower".  MLB

I am sure Bing Crosby made a recording of Sweet Leilani.  MLB

Congratulations to you too!!  I'm so sorry you lost the fourth,
that's so sad.

We think Leilani fits the description:)

Yup, I'm amazed too!  I have five grandchildren, one still unmarried
so the numbers may yet climb in the future!  Wow!

Congratulations, Grandma!  ;-)

What beautiful names!  How did the parents come up with them?

>What beautiful names!  How did the parents come up with them?

Thank you.  Aegwynn's dad has a touch of Welsh in his bloodline and
Leilani was to be named Brooklyn (don't ask) but at the last minute
the name was changed and I have no idea why or how - perhaps because
her mother had vacationed in Hawaii a couple years ago.  I'll have to
ask her.

Thank you.  The name *is* a bit off-beat but pretty and kids these
days want something different for their offspring.  And Aegwyn is as
pretty as her name!!!
