I am the meowmie I tell them.  I have he flu I tell them. I tell them
how sweet it is they all want to lay on my chest at one time to watch me
heal but that it is counterproductive as I can't breathe. They lay there
and watch me turn blue. I tell them that if I die there won't be
anyone around to feed them. Mattie gets off my chest.  She is very fond
of regular food and hasn't figured out how to get into the bag of cat
food on hand for when I get sick.

I may not survive the flu, but it can be written on my tombstone that I
was a much loved meowmie.

They do seem to be very attentive nurses, don't they?

Purrs that you get to feeling better soon.

LOL, I can relate.  Tyrone and Pua always want to lay on my belly.  I keep
telling them that they're kneading my stomach incision, but they don't quite
care.  As much as I love their warm, rumbling presence I have to give them a
shove.  I feel so badly when I do it, too!

Maybe service animals are just naturally clingy. :)
