After some comments on how plump Miranda looks, I had to take a picture
that shows that she is still the svelte ballet-dancer type girl (here
during one of her favourite pastimes - rolling around in the shower
stall. Don't Ask.):

Once more, the view when I look up from my computer:

The camera woke him up (I have it set to make a birdie twittering noise
when I start it - always gets a reaction from the cats):

PS I now officially hate Webshots - I uploaded a picture twice by
mistake, and now I can't for the life of me delete it - the interface
only gives me the option of deleting the whole album. Grrrr. If my hair
wasn't white already, it would be turning grey.

Just went to check on this. There's a small grey X in the bottom right
hand corner of the pic when you go into the album and see all photos in
it. At least when hovering the mouse over the X it gives you the option
to "delete this photo".

Either that, or you can download their software.  It makes it easier to
upload, rearrange & delete the pics (or albums).  I think it's called
Webshots Desktop.  Yes, it does want to make webshots your default desktop
background and screensaver, but you *can* turn those features off (I did).

Thank you! I thought I'd looked everywhere for that little x, just not
*in* the picture itself. I still hate the new Webshots, though.

Awww! I LOVE this one! Love the little black freckle on the little pink
toes!

Love your cat tree too! Is that the one you made?  Our is a raggedy,
frayed mess now. I want DH to do another one with more sisal and wood,
and less carpet. Maybe even formica, I dunno. There's no reason to make
the tree 100% destroyable -- they can still enjoy the sisal for
scratching. The one we made for the shelter is already a frayed mess
too.

Oh, no, I didn't make it myself, I just assembled the parts. It's the
cats' Palace in the Sky:

The late, lamented Isadora used to really like MY shower stall, too.
She would pull the washcloth  down off where it hung on the taps, and
roll around ecstatically while hugging it and gnawing it when the tub
was dry.  I thought this behavior very odd at the time, although it
didn't appear to do her any harm. I keep the shower doors closed when
the stall is not in use (And when it is), and Francesca and Nina are
full of curiousity about this usually forbidden area. Sometimes I let
them hop in and check it out, and after a few minutes, they conclude
there is no Cat Fairy Land in there, and hop back out. =o)  Love the
pics--as always!

Mir has a strange relation to the shower stall. It seems to be her Home
Base in the flat. Whenever she wants something, she comes and meows
urgently at me, then runs into the bathroom and rolls around in the
shower stall (with Mir, as with her Unka Kasper, rolling on the ground
means 'this is *my* turf'). I have to follow her, watch her roll and
then a) follow her to her feeding place and take down her plate for her
(it's on top of the fridge so Caliban doesn't eat her food) or b) I am
allowed to pick her up and she will stay in my arms for a while or c)
she wants the door into the enclosure opened.

She obviously didn't want her secret to be told, because when I had
trimmed this post in preparation of replying to it, she came meowing
urgently at me, ran into the bathroom, and when I didn't follow, she
came back, touched her front paws with claws ever so slightly
penetrating to my knee, then ran back again. So I followed her, watched
her roll, and said, 'yes, that's your shower stall. Miranda's very own
shower stall.' Then she got up and I was allowed to pick her up and hold
her for a while, scritching and listening to her silent little purr. But
then she got distracted by Caliban and had to go beat him up (she
doesn't know he's twice her size, or maybe it's that *he* doesn't know).

What a great story! I didn't know that about Miranda.

How skinny!  She's adorable, and looks like she was born to be shown
off for her beauty.

Gorgeous shots as usual.  Mir does look very slim all stretched out like
that and Caliban continues to break the scale of cuteness when he sleeps.  I
love his little footpads :-)

Grrrr from me too.  I have duplicate album titles that are empty and can't
get rid of them!

The shower stall, eh? :D  She really is "svelte" though, and not skinny.
