Many, many thanks to all of you for your comments and suggestions
regarding Hobo's imminent blindness.  You're the greatest.  I'd like
to thank each of you individually but hope a "blanket" thank-you will
be OK.  I think I have reasonably fair inteligence but not a lick of
common sense.  I'd never have thought of these ideas you put forth and
plan to follow every one of them.  They're terrific.  I feel so much
better now.  And I can do better by Hobo with your support and good
thoughts.  And if I don't transfer *my* feelings to *him*!!!

I checked out a bit more information about Hobo's problem.  It is due
to detached retina, which, as I understand it, is caused by
hypertension due to cardiac or kidney ailments.  Hobo's heart is fine
but he does have bad kidneys.  The condition is apparently
irreversible and blindness inevitable.  We've lost three kitties to
CRF (ages 20, 19, and 18) and not one of them went blind first so it's
kind of a surprise to me.  Hobo is only 14 but I guess it can strike
at any age.

I still plan to address each of you individually as time permits but
do want to let you know your advice is appreciated.
