I think I've mentioned that Caliban goes about poofing his tail at will,
and seemingly for no reason, just like Nikki used to do. And not the
whole tail, but parts of it - like just the tip, or the base, or the
middle - just like Nikki used to do.
Another thing is, one of his favourite sleeping places these days is
between my ankles as I'm watching TV:

Just like Nikki used to do:

He also has the same huge eyes that Nikki had. The difference is, while
Nikki had a certain intelligent gleam in hers, Caliban's are deep and
dark wells of ignorance. ;o)
Another difference is that Nikki was very subtle in showing affection.
Except if I lifted her up and she felt like it, she would purr her crazy
loud purr. Caliban doesn't have to be lifted, he comes hurtling into my
arms, no matter if I'm sitting at the computer, in front of the TV, or
eating at the kitchen table. Then he wriggles around, purring and
smooching my face, until he settles down on my left shoulder for a nap.
Nikki always ended up climbing onto my right shoulder.
So there are differences, but a lot of similarities, too.

Lynda used to say that her Sundae was an "old soul" who had
reincarnated many times, and that Pepperoni was a "brand new soul"
that's only experiencing its first lifetime.

ROFL!!! Well, he is just adorable. That really is like he is channeling
Nikki though with some of his actions.

Awwww - he just sounds like a love. And so nice that he brings back some
nice memories of your beautiful girl cat Nikki.

So Cali is his goofy self, but every so often Nikki taps him and says
"Remind Mommy that I'm here." ;)
