I woke up Thursday with severe dizziness. So bad slight changes of head
position caused me to vomit. I called my brother that night to get some
help. He lives upstairs with his wife and my niece. They all work
during the day. I decided to go one more day and see how I felt. No
better the next day. I called my boss to tell her things I needed done
in the office. She was on the phone so I left voicemail. I said I
needed some advice and was a bit frightened about how sick I was. Even
using the phone was very difficult. She called back and offered to come
out unless I had a reason to not want here here.
My boss came out (it is a 50 mile drive), called the doctor number on my
Aetna card, discovered the original doctor retired, got the new doctor's
name, called Aetna, fixed my account with the new doctor, drove me to the
doctor, helped me at the doctor, drove me back and stopped at the
pharmacy and took me home. Driving while feeling like that was very bad.
my niece was home by then and I explained what was going on and my boss
left. I told her "I can't imagine what would possess you to do this but
thank you".
Doctor said Labyrinthitis or a small stroke (more likely former). I am
taking anti vertigo pills (and baby aspirin). Feeling better slowly by
the day. I would not wish this on a mortal enemy. I like the new doctor
so _there_ is a plus and as for my boss; what can I even say.
As for Zak. My boss said he seems good (she has a degree in animal
nutrition). He has been crying at odd times the last few days, though,
and worrying me. He seems perfectly ok otherwise but I am worrying about
his thyroid on top of his kidneys. An hour or so ago my brother called
and he mentioned he and my niece have seem rabbits on the lawn (a first).
So maybe that is it. Anyway, hoping it is nothing worse. He (Zak) does
not really get that I am not feeling well. As I said before, I love him
but he can be a bit daft.

take note of the times cries, when you get better of course and that may be
a big help in determining what is going on. I hope you feel better soon,

What a scary illness! What a wonderful boss! It's great that you like the
new doctor. I hope you make a quick recovery, and that Zak is okay. It
could very well be the sight of rabbits that makes him cry.

So far he has stopped and seems fine so I think the rabbits may be the key.
The poor things can't figure out what season it is up here in the north-
east.
We went though a very bad boss for about a year and a half and then I was
asked to do it while they searched for a new one (almost another year).
Doing two jobs was a lot of work but they paid me extra so it was not too
bad. I did not mind doing the other job but I really wanted to go back to
what I really loved (my job). The new boss has made up for everything.
She treats me great and my people great and our "customers" on campus
great. The place we "stole" here from did not seem happy and now we know
why.

A good boss is such an important factor for people to enjoy their
workplace. Yours definitely seems like a good one. Purrs that you feel
better.

There is a disease of the inner ear that can strike suddenly. It is
called Meniere's Disease. You can type it in on the computer and read
about it. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. MLB
