We had some heavy storms here yesterday. I was at the door, trying to
get Buster in, and trying to see if Bucky wanted a day in as well.

While I'm holding the door open for an "I'm not convinced..." Buster,
Dulce Mae decides that she really wants to run out. Buster scat6ters.
Bucky scatters. I try to grab Dulce Mae, and she scatters.

Oh great. My first day working again, after four months of
unemployment, and I'm about to gain three drowned cats. Well, it isn't
raining yet...

BBBBOOOOOOOMM!

Loud thunder, and a bright flash of lightning says it's ABOUT to rain.

All of a sudden, I have Dulce Mae zoom in through the door. Little Boy
was trying to sneak up on me unawares, but Dulce Mae and the
approaching storm send him running for the bedroom. Bucky decides
that, yes, he'd very much like in, and he zooms in. Buster, still not
QUITE convinced, sort of saunters up to the door, and streeeeetches
himself in, ever so slowly. I grab him and pull him in.

As I get ready to leave, Bucky wraps himself around Senyah's feet, and
twitches his tail. Buster curls up on his blanket by the door, so he
can sniff the outdoor air under the door. Little Boy is back in the
living room, sniffing at Buster.

Dulce Mae is taking her aborted escape attempt out on the couch.

This might be a good time to get out of here (grin).

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Zak will sit in the window on July 4th (lots of fireworks) or during a big
thunder storm, not fazed a bit but let me ruffle a plastic garbage bag and
he is gone.  Silly thing.

It rained here last night - no thunder or lightening, just variable
light/medium rain.  I hate rainy nights because I have to stay up
until all but one of the cats that go out in the rain and come in
soaking wet then dry off on me.  I hate that, and I hate them doing it
when I'm already in the bed even worse.  I was up quite late: CJ was
already in and dried off; Ozy was dry; Mudpie was mostly dry;
Maryweather had just come in but she doesn't take it out on me;
Fleagor and Snowball were out, but not expected back until at least
mid morning; Avery hadn't gone out; the others don't do the wet and
wipe trick.  As I was about to climb into the bed, here comes CJ,
sopping wet and raring to get in the bed.  CJ is a long hair, so his
coat holds *a lot* of water.  I couldn't stay awake any longer, so I
went to bed and had to put up with a wet long haired cat all over me
until he finally dried off.  His coat was a mess this morning when I
groomed him.
