Every day I marvel at my great good fortune in having adopted these two. No
one could ask for a nicer pair of kitties. Both are absolute sweethearts,
easy keepers, gorgeous and loveable as can be. Billy gets such a crazy
expression on his face at times, like occasionally when I am brushing him.
Billy and Lily get brushed a lot and both love it. When they get klingons,
they don't mind being bathed in the tub. They both totally trust me!
Lately Abelard is taking "attack Lily" lessons from Eli. At least once a day
he will chase her under my desk and swat, swat, swat at her until she
screams at him to leave her alone, which only seems to egg him on (as it
does Eli). But she won't fight with Abelard as she will with Eli. If she's
not in close range of the desk when Eli goes after her, she wants to fight
him off and they end up in a tangled ball.
Billy never runs to rescue his sister. Tommy does, but only when Eli is the
opposing party. I guess he thinks she is safe from Abelard? But that could
change.
Abelard and Eli have been really hanging out together lately. It's a blast
watching this pair play, since one is about double the size of the other.

Awww. I saw a calendar the other day that I swear Billy & Lily must
have posed for. It looked just like them.
Biskit is a lot like Lily. Boots picks on her and I cannot figure out
why. She is timid and doesn't bother anyone. Once in a while Frank
picks on her too. But Frank is very "monkey-see-monkey-do" around
boots. He'll do anything she is doing.

I often wonder how you managed to give them up. I know you're "over the
limit" but so was I... they're just tooooo irresistible. But I guess if the
tables were turned, I would have given them to you.

Well, you're down to twice this time, so that's progress! :)

You have the most beautiful cats. Of course, I've already seen Abelard,
and think he's gorgeous. But I'm not sure I've seen photos of Lily and
Billy before, or Eli, either. L & B are magnificently fluffy! And I
have a soft spot for black cats. He looks very studly in those rat-
hunting pictures. Who is that in the background in photo #3? Is it Lily?

Thank you for posting the link. I don't think I knew what Baby Eyes
looked like.

Your cats are lovely and so are you. Abelard and Eli are gorgeous. And
Bea reminds me of dear Amber.

Many thanks (blush).
Beatrice is a sweetheart. She really has to be experienced to be fully
appreciated. She would like to live on my lap but it's usually occupied, and
she always willingly yields to all the other cats' seniority. She gets to be
close to me in bed, where there is plenty of room. Lily won't get in my bed
because Eli is always there, and she still fears and avoids him most of the
time. I usually wake up with at least four cats on and around me, making it
a struggle to get up quickly with a bursting bladder. But I'd be lost if
they weren't there.

I can't sleep without Djoser at least. He always snuggles up to my
belly under the top blanket. I remember one time going to sleep while
he was on the porch with Robin. I only slept for an hour; and then
woke up with alarm. Something was wrong! Then I realized Djoser wasn't
there. I had to get up and go look for him. He was still on the porch
with Robin watching the mouse hole. But I took him backto bed so i
could get my sleep.

I think it's funny how they seem so limp and purry and resigned to
their fate as teddy-cats when they get carried off to bed.

Mine go limp when I carry them to Baby Eyes to be washed. They all seem to
believe she is their mom - or at least a doting auntie.
