Meowy Kiss-a-mouse.
Just wanted to let you know, DH, Ben, got a Fender G-DEC amp for his
electric guitar for Kiss-a-mouse. Not the greatest in the world, but enough
to make an amateur happy! (He also got an imaging telescope with an
attached digital camera - apparently he was a very good boy this year!!)
Did you get any axes or accessories this year?

Damn, has it been that long since I checked this group?
Anyway, it's a little late but.....same to you.

Cool!
Is he running MIDI through your computer?
I'll bet he can get some real funky sounds out of the thing.

Is that an "astronomy" thing, or a "blackmail the neighbors" thing. :)
Sounds like it could be a fun toy either way.

Nope.
I've got enough (wife would say "more than enough") equipment around here.
Most of it is pretty old, but still makes some good noise.
Amp: old Fender quad reverb (4 speaker, 100 watt) over 30 yrs old, but
it still screams.
Guitars:
Fender Telecaster, maple neck, Dimarzio pickups
Gibson Les Paul Std. except for adjusting string height at the nut and polishing
the frets, it's stock.
Gibson accoustic, it's been repaired, reset, reglued so many times it's more
"custom" than factory. Picture Willie Nelson's guitar and then hit it with a
hammer a few times.
Accessories:
Digitech GSP7
Sansamp
Boss OC2 octavizer
Sears (yea, really) Wah Wah
Keyboard:
Korg M1 MIDIed to the computer running Cakewalk Sonar as
a MIDI controller.
And an old Tascam 4 track recorder
So I've pretty much got everything I need except talent.
Hope you enjoyed the Holidays.
We did (not one inlaw in sight the whole Holiday season).
Oh, and what did Santa bring us?
A pair of Saitek X52 joystick/game controllers. We've been doing
2 on 2 dogfight competitions on the internet with Falcon 4.0 ( F-16 fighter
simulation). We've been REALLY kickin' a.s since we got the things.
The wife is getting to be a very competent "wingman". Last weekend
I had a guy on my tail that I just couldn't shake. She managed to break
off from her target and roll in over the guy and put a burst of cannon fire in
his plane, taking out his afterburner, and re-engage her own target without
missing a beat. Being underpowered, he couldn't match turns with me,
anymore, and I came around behind him and blew him out of the sky
with a sidewinder. Then I swung under her target, forcing him to shallow
his turn and we both let a missile fly at him simultaneously. Not sure
which one of us actually hit him, but he went up in a bright flash.
We must have ruined these kids ( I think they were both under 20) day.
Getting shot down, not just by two old people, but one of us was a GIRL.
And we took them out in under 3 minutes.
Wish it always worked out that well.
Anyway, that's how we've been killing a little time during these winter months.
Not much else to do. The skiing has been terrible, this year.
