Sense of Fairness in Kittens

I've told you (and for those who have had kittens I'm sure you've
experienced this) how every time I go up or down the stairs Sammy
practically breaks her neck trying to beat me (to sometimes disastrous
results).

Well, lately she has realized that Mommy is terribly slow and handicapped by
those gigantic feet and by using only two legs.  Sammy has developed a sense
of fair play!  She will now rush halfway down the stairs and then stop and
wait for me to pass her up.  She'll then wait until I am *almost* at the end
of the stairs and just as my foot is hovering over that last step down or
step up I will see her flying past me, front feet stretched out like
superman, to land a fraction of a second before my foot does.  She'll then
spin around to face me with a big grin on her face to say, "Ha ha!  Even
when I give you a head start you still can't beat me!!"

Hugs,

CatNipped
