Well, I took Merlyn in for the second time to see about her lumps.  Vet
didn't think they were anything to worry about; in fact, he could barely
find them!  He said he couldn't even do a needle biopsy, as they aren't
large enough.  So, it's a "watch her" kinda thing.

It was pretty funny, as the dr. suggested if I feel a large one again,
what I should do:  shave a bit of the area, and mark it with a pen!
That way, the vet can find it -- lol!

No clue on the mysterious vomiting cat, either.  Well, they're all
vomiting right now, since they keep nibbling on pine needles, no matter
how hard I try to say NO!  But no more blood, so far.  Vet suggested
that would come from the mouth, throat, or esophagus, so I'm going to be
brave (!) and look in all the kitties mouths this weekend.  Hopefully, I
will have fingers left to type with . . . .

Wishing a Happy Holidays to all!

PS My neighbor has been very busy lately, but she took the time out to
leave a little package for me (and the cats) on the porch today.  So I
have tealights and a holder, and the cats have meeses snd enough treats
to last a year (6 cans!).

Even if the vet isn't worried, i would like to know what they are. The
cats nibbling on pine needles worries me. They contain turpentine and
in a cow will cause miscarriage (learned during the years we lived on
a cattle ranch). Maybe you can put double-stick tape on the floor near
the tree so the cats can't reach it?

Unfortunately, then I couldn't get around the tree, either, to the
litterboxes behind it.  I sprayed the tree down with bitter stuff, and
have been heavy on the spray bottle, especially with the kittens.  I
think *they* have gotten the message.  It's mostly Cosmo and Brando, I
think.  All they do is eat, and then throw it up immediately.

We've been through this over the years, and I haven't lost one yet to
pine needle eating!

Ginger-lyn
who also would like to know what the lumps are.

I guess the prompt throwing it up protects them. Maybe they are eating
it for hairballs? Meowy Christmas!

Is there a chance it could have been a tick?  MLB

Doubt it.  They're strictly indoor only cats.  Merlyn's been gettinga
more aggressive lately with the other cats, so our first guess was maybe
abscesses from cat fights, so we put her on antibiotics for that.  But
they're still there.  Unless she just has a weird anatomy?? lol.,

Lots of purrs and best wishes, especially for Merlyn's lumps to
disappear completely,
