Eli sprayed in the shower stall

I saw him do it. I think he meant for me to see. I think he's frustrated by
not being able to spray outdoors like he used to, and at the same time he
knows it's inappropriate to spray in the house. So he found a compromise. "I
can spray in the shower stall because it doesn't hurt anything." I've
noticed other cats in the shower stall sniffing that spot.

I sure hope it's enough to keep him happy.

Keep an eye on him.  When Pi decided to pee in the sink, while looking
straight at me, it turned out he had a UTI.

When Fin needed my attention, he'd wait until I was actually on the
throne, then he'd climb into the sink and pee.  It was his way of
saying, 'Clean the box, woman!'

I cleaned the box.  The next target was either my bed or the couch.

Winnie does that too and it is the only place he sprays. It is really
quite convenient to clean up. He isn't altered, never sprays anywhere
else, takes care of our two entire lady cats when they are in need and
never gets either of them pregnant. What a gallant little fellow. If
Sunset or Missy did get pregnant, we could find good homes for a few
purebred Himalayan kittens, so it wouldn't be a tragedy, but it is
better this way.

Someone musked on my coat and also put a pee spot on my PJs.  I'm
blaming SMokey for the musk, but I don't know who is responsible for
the peeing.  That was a few days ago and I'm keeping my eye open for
other inappropriate pee, but right now I think I just let the PJ pile
get too high and someone decided to dig in it for a wee-wee.

You are very lucky! How come you don't get them fixed - are you breeding?

The cats were with Micki when I moved in with her, except for WooToo
whom I inherited from my mom. These cats never go outdoors, so the only
issues are whether Winnie woudl produe the typical tomcat stinking
spray, which he doesn't, and whether we want kittens.

Micki would like some kittens from Sunrise or Missy by Winnie. They are
beautiful cats and would produce excellent Himalayan kittens. Sunrise
and Missy have been mothers before and proved devoted and affectionate
ones. Missy's temperment, she hates hoomaans, does not seem to transfer
to her kittens who are very nice pets. Sunrise is a diva and her
kittens probably do think very highly of themselves but they allow
hoomans to serve them as does the Diva herself. She even consents to be
petted.

Micki would like to keep one or even two and says, and I agree, that
others would be easy to place or even to sell. While I agree that a
five-cat household could absorb a kitten easily, I am not sure about a
five-cat one Labarador retriever and one parrot household. At least Buy
Run, the Pomeranian, has moved out, although he still visits.

It is probably all moot as Winnie only fires blanks.

That would appear to be the case, if they're mating regularly with no
results!

Keeps them happy but there won't be any kittens :(

And would account for the spray not stinking. No hormones.

Do the vets hassle you about your cats not being desexed. I have one old
cat who I decided not to snip, simply because he's so old (about 16 yo),
so why bother, he is confined to a cat enclosure and all my other cats
have been spayed or castrated.

My previous vets (before I moved) were fine with it, but some of the
vets here go on about it. They don't believe that he doesn't spray and
that he doesn't roam.

Our vets know that Missy, Sunrise and Winnie are breeders, albeit
unsuccesful ones. It is a matter for humor as they know that these are
indoor cats. I don't think I would deal with a vet who treated me as if
I were not truthful.

Poor Winnie got his tail too close to Buddy, the Severe Macaw, almost
inside Buddy's cage, and got bitten for his troulbes. He wasn't injured
badly, no blood drawn and no bone broken, but his feelings were hurt.
It's always something.

My first thoughts were UTI. Keep an eye out for this, my cats have
sprayed right in front of me when they've had UTI's.

I know, but Eli's always been a sprayer. Abelard has, too, but thankfully he
has not (to my knowledge) done it in this house (and won't ever start).

When we would walk together on the farm, or just when I was out in the yard
with the cats, I would often see both Eli and Abelard back up to various
bushes and things, and spray them. A few times, Eli came into the bathroom
when I was in there and sprayed my clothes while I was on the toilet. I
figured he was marking me as his personal slave.
